It's great, if it's cold outside I just open this app up and scroll for a bit. After a few minutes it's like I'm holding hand warmers.

Really confused what the point of the Following tab is, when it still gets shoved full of recommendations widgets and “based on your likes” it kind of defeats the purpose. Latest update appears to have broken the Fast Queue labs function, as well.

The ads now autoplay audio even when the phone is on solent and they’ve taken away the quick queue button. The interface only gets worse with each update as functionality is lost but the shop button is bigger and easier to find than ever.

I literally love this app so much and I use it ALL DAY, but lately there's been a problem: I guess Tumblr released a new update. I can't edit my private posts anymore, and I really want to. Is anyone else having this problem? Or is it just me? If so, please fix it!:(

No matter how many times I report that the candy crush ads have auto playing audio they just keep popping up. If you’re going to have a report button for ads at least respond to the reports. Kick the candy crush ads off the site because they are so clearly broken and obnoxious

The app always had problems for people who use the queue feature heavily (for instance, moving more than one item from the bottom of your queue required killing and restarting the app), but with the recent removal of the fast queue feature (meaning to queue a post requires like, five taps and found through a meatball menu in the app now) I decided to give the mobile website a try. Not only can I queue with two taps, and manage my queue more reliably, but everything else seems to work at least as well if not better on the mobile website than in the app. Given that websites can be added to the iOS Home Screen, there's no reason to use this app.

Where’s the edit button for posts, and why is it hidden away in favor of the share button at the bottom? It’s super annoying having to scroll back up longer text posts. The speech bubble button that opens up the replies is redundant when the notes button does the same exact thing. Would love to see changes for a better and more streamlined post layout.

My tumblr turned 15 this year :) It’s been nice to be back on it more often & is still my favorite social media / blogsite

I genuinely love this app so much, like you could do anything on this 😋😋

The new UI is too clunky-chunky, ugly, and everyone is now forced to have a circle icon on the dashboard, getting rid of the customization choice of having a square icon [as god intended] — I’m keeping the app uninstalled for as long as this update is in place, you should learn how to foster an environment that doesn’t alienate your existing userbase while adding more intuitive features to invite new users, stop trying to lazily rip off X / Twitter.

I’ve used tumblr for many years and have decided to download the app to re-experience it after three years of not using it. It’s SO MUCH fun! I missed it immensely. If you’re thinking about it, for it and enjoy!

There was no feature on the first of April this year and I’m very disappointed by that.

Reminds me of MySpace, but newer. I have been THRIVING as a homestuck artist on here 🙏

Tumblr just keeps worsening itself, and for what? The new ui is hideous and the buttons are all bogus and useless

quick queue was the absolute best and now it’s gone i dont want to spam people with 60+ reblogs twice a day, i want to queue things. so why get rid of the button that made queuing a post so easy??? what was the point?? and the constant push to make videos and communities into Something is ridiculous. a text based platform for blogging is only made worse by the addition of communities and videos as it takes away from the actual content we all came here for.

It's not perfect--I'd like it to remember where I left off. Besides that, it works reliably. I can do Facebook for family only, Instagram for cyber friends, and get news and entertainment from Tumblr

I recognize that UI changes are common, and complaining about UI changed and kicking up a fuss when you’ll eventually get used to it - but I am not exaggerating when I say that tumblr’s new UI update to focus on blog titles and icons is actively hostile to the user experience. If someone reblogs an image from one other person, the url headers & notes will be 40% the size of the image itself. It takes 3 lines of text and 2 lines of tags the actual content of the post to take up as much space as the blog/notes. If you have a simple text post with a back and forth, these headers take >60% of the post, making it a struggle to even find what the post is about. This is also not a case of accessibility, given that 1) the headers & notes are the one part of the post that are NOT affected by Apple Accessibility’s dynamic larger text 2) Tumblr does not scale to the four top options for larger text. If you need these sizes to read, you cannot use tumblr as is anyway. At max size, the header text is smaller than the post text, and yet still outsized two lines of text. I know who i follow on my dash. I do not need help seeing them. I do not need a massive follow button that is the size of 15 post characters. If I am on a blogging platform or a social media platform, I would like to see the blog posts and media, not a repetitive slog of urls and usernames. This is also doubly disappointing given how they have supposedly tamped down this year’s April Fool’s effort because of their skeleton crew. Did they also cut QA , or would it not have been better to give the people in charge of developing this UI change that task instead? They’re certainly skilled at building something that makes you feel like a fool. I have not stopped using Tumblr after any of the other previous updates, and I have previously felt that even when it has been made worse, it’s still better than other platforms. But I (and others) will probably not be using it until there is at least some kind of toggle so that I can actually see the content I downloaded this app for.

I have been using tumblr for nearly 15 years and there are a couple of features that I consider important. The quick queue button, and the ability to drag my finger to choose which blog to post to. Neither of these features are able to be used with the new update.

Grew up with this platform

The ads are offensive.

Despite having it enabled for years on every account I’ve had, mobile isn’t giving me the fast queue option anymore. Honestly a pushing point for me to not use it anymore

Trash update that makes everything a little bit worse. Edit post button is now hidden, gone is your queue button- blazing posts are now the priority. Inconsistent fonts between numbers and actual words especially where it says number of notes. Hoping this is the big April fools joke this time.

Hey so the queue button on the timeline was great and allowing you to post directly from your queue was great. Please consider putting that feature back. It's much more difficult now

the new formatting update has honestly ruined the whole app for me. everything is much to large and circular. no one asked for this. no one wanted this. reverse the update. it’s an eyesore and it looks childish. if you want to keep the users that you do have, you have to listen to them.

After the latest update posts that are meant to be locked can be reblogged. I tested this with someone else’s posts that I knew was locked and it was going to let me reblog it.
