Ever since the new update I cant zoom in on videos but pictures work just fine? Fix it

The worst company updates I have ever seen. If you dont have Tumblr dont get it. They Hate the users!!

I used to love using this app but lately I can not open videos into full screen mode... pictures open up like normal pictures do and gifs open up like they normally do but the videos dont open and it frustrates me

I love being able to quickly post to my blog. The iPad version is really good, allowing for screen rotation. If you blog on tumblr, you would be cheating yourself to not have the quick access this allows.

Whatever yall did to fix it, you made it worse. I cant open videos on my phone anymore.

Ive been using this app for years and its always had its issues, but never bad enough to make me write a review. But this update is that bad. There are a lost of major misses in this update, plus a list of things that users have been requesting forever and still havent been fixed/addressed. - I know you need to make money, so I can accept there being ads on my feed (a lot more than usual, I might add, but I can let it go because there are things on my feed that I cant expect or know that I will like, so the ads are easy to overlook). But now there are ads on my blog, always in the third post position. This is an issue for me because I when I go to my blog, I expect to only see the things I post and reblog. Not to be that person, but the ads really do ruin the "aesthetic" that I like to achieve. - The video player has always been glitchy, but the new player format is completely unintuitive and frustrating to use. - There is still no option to search an individual blog instead of all of Tumblr. There also, as far as I know, is no way to search for a post by wording instead of by tags. Any time I have a specific post in mind I just have to google the phrase + "tumblr" and hope that it finds what Im talking about. It rarely works. - There is still no reliable system in place for users to block certain tags and content from showing up in their feed. - I am followed by pornbot blogs every single day. Can we please have a more accessible and effective way of blocking other blogs like that and also reporting them to Staff? This review has been a long time coming for me, but I cant believe that this much has been consistently overlooked between updates. Please focus less on cool new features and more on addressing lasting concerns from users.

Videos no longer open. They stay in preview on the page, but they will not open to hear sound, view full screen, or move forwards/backwards through video. No controls at all.

I literally cant watch any videos because the for some reason, there is no sound whatsoever. Usually Tumblr is one of my favorite social media apps but its so frustrating because there is no sound >.<

With this new update Ive noticed that when I go to my own personal blog and scroll through my posts there is an ad after every three or four posts. At first I was really confused because on my private personal blog I only post material there that I create and they are like personal diary entries. Now on this space that has been really cathartic and therapeutic there are ads that really are jarring and really make my blog feel like its being invaded. Im fine with seeing ads in the dashboard, but on my own blog? No. Thats too much and its ruined this app for me.

The updates arent always the best, youll keep coming back though.

I have been a member of Tumblr for years (but, of course, not on the account that I am using now). I am always on Tumblr; I love the nice people and everything you can do on Tumblr. This app is a big part of my life and its definitely a recommendation by me.

This app is definitely user-friendly and deserves a lot better than the needy brats that usually rate tumblr. It really isnt a bad app, and its great for meeting people with similar interests or simply sharing your favorite things! It identifies with teens very well, using words they often use.

The app is decent enough. Allows my use of it without issues normally (I dont use all of the available functionality). The most recent update lost video manipulation though on iOS platforms. Both my phone and iPad lost functionality. Previous versions allowed video in full screen and in landscape mode. This version only allows audio activation and deactivation. No additional video functionality capabilities are present.

After the last update, I noticed that when you tap on a vid clip it no longer plays full screen. It just stays in the Tumblr app player. Its not cool cause you can no longer get a true full screen view. ???!??!!

I can see all the people Im following now. The annoying thing now is when Im scrolling through a blog I see ads. Now I get that the ads are there because it is one of the ways tumblr makes money but I wish they werent on peoples blog. Dashboard is fine just not the blogs Im following.
